We've kicked off the year with a fantastic gig - playing for a 21st birthday party!
This year our focus is to expand our range of swing dancing repertoire and continue working with local composers and arrangers to enhance the music scene here in the ACT and surrounds.

ConneXion is an established Canberra community band with a big horn sound. Recreating the sounds of the big band era, such as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington, we are the band to get your audience on their feet dancing the night away.
ConneXion is currently directed by Sally Greenaway. The band features Canberra's finest vocalists, including Natalie Magee, Rachel Thorne, Tony Haley and Leisa Keen.
For more intimate occasions, we can also provide a smaller ensemble. So whether it be a wedding, party, conference dinner, spring ball or any other celebration, we are the band for you.
ConneXion Big Band evolved from Ian McLean's Blamey St Big Band in 2005 because of a high interest from community musicians who wanted to play big band music.
